Management and Administration

At Canada Tire, we view our back-office as an extension of our front-office. All of our back-office employees spend time on the road regularly with our Territory Managers visiting customers in order to better understand their needs and ensure that working with us is as administratively easy as possible.

Our CEO, Gabriel Granatstein, joined the family business in 2016. Prior to joining Canada Tire, Gabriel was an employment and labour lawyer for Norton Rose Fulbright and Target. Gabriel is also a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and continues to serve as a reservist.

Gabriel is supported by his brother-in-law, Chris Moody, the Director of Sales, responsible for our Territory Managers, customer service representatives and retail operations. Chris has an established background in sales, notably for a major international hotel chain.

Billy Granatstein, father to Gabriel and father-in-law to Chris, retired from active involvement in Canada Tire after over 45 years in the business. It was Billy’s grandfather (and Gabriel’s great grandfather), Louis, who started the business in 1928.

Tom Koufogianis joined the company in late 2023 as the Director of Operations, responsible for managing all warehouses, and transportation. All warehouse managers report to Tom, as well as Laura Carroll, our Operations & HR Specialist, and Nicolas Mancuso, our Operations Analyst.

Evelyne Labelle, our Director of Finance leads the Finance Department. Evelyne is supported by Melissa Stewart, our Financial Analyst, and Julie Veres, our Accounts Payable Lead.

Our Credit Department is led by Michelle Held. Michelle Held is responsible for customers in Ontario, Atlantic Canada, the Maritimes, and Québec customers.

Joel Boivin leads our Purchasing Department, as the Director of Purchasing and Pricing and he is supported by Andrew Ouellette, our Assistant Buyer, and Polina Radeva our Manager of Logistics and Purchasing.

Jason Singh leads our IT department, and he is supported by Andrew Jones. Jason joined us in 2021 and comes from a robust IT background.

Our Marketing Director is Kerry-Anne Arrowsmith, who has been with Canada Tire since 2004. Kerry-Anne has been with Canada Tire for 18 years and recently completed advanced education in digital marketing.
